The Tik Tok singer, 28, has been locked in a wrangle with Lukasz Gottwald since October 2014, claiming that he had abused, drugged and raped her over a ten-year period.
Kesha – real name Rose Sebert – has now asked the US court for a preliminary injunction which would free her from Dr Luke and Sony's control, sparking a flood of support on social media.
Dr Luke's spokesperson, however, has argued: "If Kesha now regrets that her career is mired in legal proceedings, it’s entirely of her making.
Lukasz has insisted that Kesha's accusations are false, and are simply a bid to escape her contract with Kemosabe Records, the company he created with Sony in 2011, and has sued Kesha for defamation.
